‘Blink Twice’ is the directorial debut from Zoë Kravitz.
The movie has a dark twist and a down the rabbit hole vibe. The tension and dark humor are engaging. I enjoyed the first act, but the rest of the plot felt predictable and lacked originality. However, I thought the cinematography was intriguing. The film uses some interesting wide-angle close-ups creating a sense of intimacy and tension, placing the audience right in the center of the action. The overall composition of the shots is beautifully done, with small details that adds a layer of depth to the visual storytelling.
The cast was good – specifically Channing Tatum as Slater King and Naomi Ackie as Frida.
Go give it a watch!
