The trailer for ‘Apartment 7A’ a prequel to Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror classic ‘Rosemary’s Baby,’ has dropped! As per the official logline: “When a struggling, young dancer suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame.” The trailer opens with Garner saying, “I came here for one reason: to make something of myself, to be on stage, to see my name in big lights. But dreams don’t always come true.”
‘Apartment 7A’ is set in 1965 New York City, where the infamous Bramford building has an eerie presence. The film follows a dancer named Terry (Julia Garner), who rents an apartment from an older couple (Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally) and soon discovers that something evil is lurking and haunting the building. There is a voiceover that says: “There’s something wrong with these people. I think something happened to the girl who lived here before me.”
The trailer is mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. I am very excited for this film! ‘Apartment 7A’ debuts on Paramount+ on September 27!
