Sultana’s Dream is imaginative, commendable, and creates a world of its own with a cohesive narrative to keep the audience engaged.
The movie is packed with Visual brilliance and is a stunning cinematography achievement! The visuals feel like a fever dream in Calcutta, beautiful and heavy with lush and beautiful details. The water, the subtle movements, the artistic style portrays an Indian folk art style.
The storyline and the themes explore women feeling unsafe in a male-dominated society and also addresses gender inequality, identity crisis and living up to your dreams.
Overall, I think the production team made a meticulous effort into making this visual spectacle and I was happy to see it at the San Sebastian film festival circuit.
