“El Castillo” is a wonderful film by director Martín Benchimol. The film’s pacing is masterfully crafted and is an immersive experience that feels a bit like a documentary.
The acting is genuine, and the storyline is well crafted and developed, leading the audience on a heartwarming journey that is engaging. The actors take us on an emotional journey with a nuanced performance. Moreover, the use of bold colors will play a pivotal role in drawing the viewer in.
While this film may not be my personal favorite of the year, I can say that I enjoyed it and everything from the directing to the editing made sense. The story’s twists and turns develop the characters’ motives in ways that are unexpected. This film may not be for everyone, especially if you are impatient. However, if you stick with the film, which may be slow at times, the rewards will be well worth the time spent.
