Brad Pitt leads the ensemble cast as newly peace loving former assassin named “Lady Bird”. Fate, however, may have other plans as his latest mission puts him on a collision course with adversaries from around the globe — all with connected yet conflicting objectives — on the world’s fastest train.
My thoughts:
Bullet Train is a very entertaining action-comedy. It’s a funny action blockbuster that made me literally laugh out loud but kept me in suspense.
The cinematography was great & the whole cast did a great job with each role. I am a big Brad Pitt fan so of course I enjoyed his energetic performance. Good to see Pitt in his full glory. I loved how Brad Pitt captured the essence of the story exactly like the book.
This movie is great fun and not meant to be taken seriously, however, it still offers a complex intricate story. In the midst of the dramatic and fight scenes, you’re still tasked with trying to solve how the movie will play out.
Definitely a fun solid summer action-comedy to watch! I highly recommend it.
Let’s get to dissecting. Today we will discuss bullet train technology.
What is a ‘bullet train’?
The bullet train, or “Shinkansen”, is a type of passenger train which operates on Japan’s high-speed railway network. They are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 320kms per hour!
What is bullet train technology?
These maglev trains work on the principle of magnetic repulsion between the cars and the track. The word maglev is a combination of the words “magnetic” and “levitation.” The magnetic levitation, or floating of the train, is achieved through the use of an electrodynamic suspension system, or EDS. EDS is a form of magnetic levitation in which there are conductors which are exposed to time-varying magnetic fields.
